Hatching season is upon us for many members of the club. Some are finished hatching, while some others are just getting started.
One of the key aspects of preserving a rare breed is to keep producing new offspring every year. By producing new offspring, there is opportunity to select for the best each year, and improve the breed. Additionally, if more birds are not hatched each year, the existing birds will eventually grow old.
